www.TemporaryTown.info & “Temporary Town” on Facebook

Temporary Town is called a “Hospitium”, NOT a “Homeless Shelter”, that is such a derogatory and degrading term which is highly contemptuous in the name itself...

Hospitium [Ha-spit-TEE-um] (Greek: ξενία, xenia, προξενία) is the ancient Greco-Roman concept of hospitality as a divine right of the guest and a divine duty of the host...

I propose that we do the right thing for once and take care of the people that want to be helped, and expel the rest by drawing a hard line in the sand that is a City Ordinance that outlaws, Panhandling ( NOT Busking ), Loitering, and Sleeping in Public, but don't just pass the law and then push them aside, we need to provide a place for them to go where they DO NOT feel threatened by the prejudice for being dealt a bad hand at this time as most of those people don't want to be homeless and have no place to go, and the few bad apples that spoil the barrel get weeded out and expelled from the city, and if they return it's a free ride to jail, do not pass go, and do not collect the grace of the city...

Temporary Town” needs to be a welcoming place for ALL people... A place where they can go and camp in their cars in the “T-Town Hospitium” parking lot without the fear of being attacked or run off because somebody complained somebody was sleeping in there car, and if you don't have a car and you are on foot with your life on your back, you should be able to find a safe place to sleep which everybody needs, or dies!

It it a God given right to sleep, and you can't opt-out, so we need to provide that space for them, and have all the branches of government offices that only help the people to get off the streets and better their lives there, because that IS what they want, not to be bitched about them on Facebook where it's all talk and no action...

As the banner above depicts, this facility can pay for itself by covering the roof with Solar Collectors to power the building and all its needs, and sell the rest of the 0.85MW of power per year as revenue to the tune of over $110,000 per year to support its operation, but it must be done quickly to take advantage of the Solar Power & Alternative Power Systems incentive programs by the state and PG&E...

Organization is the key to success, and a place for everything, and everything in its place...”
